Thats a disappointment. Not that I'm against fixing crashes, but my personal priority is that off type defense bug... its a bit of a game breaker for me.

Well, I'm nto sure if this is the FOW bug or something else, but I just installed the .072 update, and the "issue" I had before didn't go away. If you look at the minimap, there's an area that's a different shade of gray from the fog of war. It extends from the middle top corner about 3/4's of teh way to the left corner, and about half way towards the right corner, and an arc to contect the two ends. I can see thru it, but it never goes away and it is kind of annoying. Is this the FOW bug, or an issue with my video card?

Thanks for the info Drengin, though i'm with Starstriker1, shame the defense issue is not in there. Could we expect a fix for this soon?

Lucky, as kyro said above, go into stardock, select Tools, then settings, then internet, then Refresh xml data, and it should show up after that.

I have not seen that. It's not the FOW bug i saw, which is fixed as I'm playing it now.

Do you have the latest drivers for your video card? I know that was an issue for me sometime ago.

That's the glare effect seen on many interface elements throughout the game. There's a mod by jpinard on the library that removes it from the minimap.

Yah, as far as I know. It's an older video card from probably 2-4 yrs back when I bought my Dell, so it might not be up to snuff. I want to change it, but I can't really get better without buying a new computer at this point. I can play and it's not real annoying, just wish it wasn't there.

I'm also disappointed. What's going on with the off-type defense bug? Is that being addressed? Does SD even see it as a bug or not? I haven't seen anyone officially acknowledge and address this. Please let us know what's going on. Thanks.

This sucks.. what about us people that do not or can not use SDC due to internet avaliability on our PC's, are we never going to be able to upgrade our games, so we could suffer from these bugs, just so they could be silently patched up again???

Because having a validated cd isn't worse than not being able to patch/upgrade our games...
