Random thoughts and rants...
Big Hype for small game....
Published on September 18, 2008 By Neilo In Console Games

I bought Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (PS3) on Wedensday and i have just finished it, it's Friday morning here. (I'm in Australia.)

What a dissapointment. It's a great looking game, and it plays really well, but there is only something like 10 levels...i didn't count them, but it was such a short game. I really expected alot more depth in the game, it seems they sacrificed the depth and longevity of the game to focus on the visual aspect and how it plays.

I mean they really excelled at those aspects, but in the end they ultimately failed as all those fancy graphics and terriffic gameplay does no good sitting on my shelf.

For a game with so much potential, i mean look at the SW universe, there are no shortages of stories/characters and plots for the devs to have drawn on, even in the games timeframe, the game really lacks any replayability and was never long enough to be able to rest on it's first time play through effort.

Well the one good thing is, it will make a terrific trade-in, price wise on Guitar Hero World Tour.......

I pretty much agree with you.  There are some great aspects of the game, but it's so linear it gets old after a few levels.

Yeah...i was looking for a few different level styles instead of the same type dragging on throughout the game.

No one else has any thoughts?

Wow! Well i guess all the fancy graphics in the world can't make up for the shortcomings of the game, pun intended..

Yeah, luckily I saw the signs before I bought this game, and I decided to rent it instead.  Now I'm up 50 bucks!

The game had a good concept behind it, but the execution was flawed, not to mention the most horrible story Lucas has produced yet.  This makes Episodes 1, 2, and 3 look awesome by comparison.

4/10

Hahaha...yeah the Story was full of holes and not in keeping with any levels of Staw Wars cannon, but...i was happy to suspend disbelief for the game and i though the premise of the story held promise but seemed to get lost along the way.

I think the game would have done better without having to be confined to the story of Sith to Hope.

Wasn't Starkiller the original name Lucas had for Luke? I seem to recall hearing that somewhere???

I only played the demo and this was already enough to disappoint me
