Thank You Stardock

Yesterday when I tried to view a profile th link was totally botched and sent me to a login screen, I figured it was under some sort of change, great to see it working again. And Medals! I love Medals!

on Sep 09, 2008

I still don't see any medals. But then I'm still using Internet Explorer and we all already know that Stardock doesn't care about us IE users.   It's funny that they stopped supporting IE due to all of the issues that they were having with it but the only problem I've ever had was with the medals and the view profile links (but so did everyone else) and I saw alot more Firefox users complaining then IE users. Unless it's just because all you FF users are spoiled whiners.

actually i think now there are FF extensions they stopped supporting and they're making use of IE7 stuff... i think kryo mentioned something along those lines a couple pages ago in this thread. but i dunno, i don't really get most of that stuff TBQH.

Dys is right in saying that they did drop some FF extensions, and that yes, they are using IE7 now...however, I do have the latest IE7 and the medals don't appear on that; actually, my privacy report says they are getting blocked. I tried lowering my settings and still nothing.  Its not a big deal since I pretty much exclusively use FF (and the load time was MUCH faster on FF) but I could see where the IE7 guys could be annoyed (and I end that with tho, if you still have IE6, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?).

Also, the quotes work and are pretty cool, especially how they say which reply # they are quoting (and they include a QuickLink button for reference back to that quote, very cool)

How the hell do you know if you are IE7 Or 6? And shit this is slow, Thats my rant!

And cheating? I will have to go take a look.

Ya know, i have never used IE6 let alone IE7....i cannot understand why people, short of those that have no idea about browsers, even use IE. I think Opera and Maxthon are far better browsers than IE and dare i say it....i'll use chrome before i use IE.

Eh, I know they were very slow to move over to IE7 here tat work because the various electronic's (Delta V and such) software had to work 100% on it before they committed.

hmm. we moved to IE7 at my job within a few days of its release, and we've got dozens of web-based applications. though i've still only got FF2 :/

We don't have a 'proper' IT department.  Our's consists of the director on engineering and the one electrical engineer...which both have normal duties to preform, thus some tings fall the wayside for a few weeks.

Note, we do run IE7 now and I'm unsure how long it took from release.  I still only use FF3 though, except when a site doesn't like it and I need to use IE.  IETAB extension still channels that POS so you cannot truely say to use that.

Yea I can't seem to get some banners to work either for some reason, but others work fine using the exact same method of posting them. Who knows I have given up trying to understand it
