FF support, will it be returning...i'd hate to have to use IE under any circumstances?

Er, it hasn't gone anywhere? I use FF3 exclusively, no notable issues.

If you mean in the Impulse app itself, no, that's not going to happen. Gecko is much more difficult to integrate in the way that IE is, plus then everyone would need to download the Gecko engine as part of Impulse (whereas they already have IE, and should keep it updated for security regardless if they use it).

(medals, search feature...edit borking) will be addressed?

Medals should be sorted near-term when the rest of the little style issues (particular to GC2/Sins' dark themes) get sorted. I don't know where we stand on search (google with site:forums.galciv2.com is what I use), and the edit has been a hard issue to track down.

He might be referring to the loss of the spellchecker and the copy/paste functions in FF3.  Being that I'm perfeect and never mispell a word, it's not a priority for me.  I can also copy and paste by sheer force of will.

Good news on the medals issue.

The edit button on the other hand isn't important.  (See above).

The spellcheck is an issue with the edit box we use (third party javascript stuff, AFAIK). I believe the plan is to eventaully implement a server-side AJAX spellcheck though.

No copy and paste is actually a security function in Gecko--javascript isn't allowed to access the clipboard. You can still use ctrl-x/c/v though to do it.

Ok cool, thanks for the info mate.

On a total tangent. Anyone remember the Rocky & Bullwinkle show?

Bullwinkle: Eeny, Meeny, Jelly Beanie, the spirits are about to speak.

Rocky: Are they friendly spirits?

Bullwinkle: Friendly? Just listen.

And then they would cut to commercial. I guess it's funnier when you're 5.

lol. I watched that show , but in reruns. I didn't remember the bit leading into the commercial  though

Outstanding show.  I was too young to properly appreciate it however.  I wish they'd re-run it somewhere.  I'm not quite motivated enough to buy DVDs .

sillyness indeed.

Ya know...i have never seen rocky and bullwinkle...never was abig thing over here. Same as the movie...i think it's called Old yellah. What is the deal with that...how many movoes/shows have people...no adults...crying over some rabid dog that dies in a movie.......i dont get that.
