those are also great movies KP.

I havent found too many people who were fans of Equilibrium, but I liked it a lot....The Matrix meets 1984 is how I like to describe it.

i haven't found many people who've even heard of Equilibrium, but most people i show it to seem to like it well enough.  i guess i watch it a lot because 1) Christian Bale and 2) Taye Diggs. great description, too, even though i think it's more like Brave New World whereas V for Vendetta is more like 1984. i usually say "it's what The Matrix could've been, had the Wachowski brothers ever read anything besides comics and manga."

Hey guys. I see nothing's improved. In fact looks like if a GC2er speaks out to the general populace the thread gets locked. What's up with that shit. Some people are just getting home. Guess they wanted to lock it so ti looks like an isolated incident in their eyes, before giving everyone their voice.

That was the right thing to do Mumble. They obviously don't pay attention to the forums on GC2 proper anymore, so to make yourself heard you got to go where "they" are. We should just start posting everything GC2 related in the Impulse section, just include something small about Impulse at the beginning. See how they like the overrun of BS crossing onto their forum.

Edit: Well, after checking it out Impulse's site does get GC2 posts. So oh well . I still would like to see some web developer recognition that they have screwed up and are going to fix this forum.

as frustrating as it can be, i'd really much rather pursue a diplomatic solution that leaves more people happier than less, personally. i hate throwing accusations around, especially online, and i do believe that SD is trying its best. however, it really is disheartening to simply be brushed aside.

maybe i'll download MoO2 this weekend

What really matters to me:

Can i play the game satisfactorily? YES

Am I able to reach a Stardock representive for assistance if needed? YES

Am I able to discuss game related topics in a fairly localized place (forums)? YES

are they perfect, hell no; but really, its still better than most games.  I mean, seriously, everyone knows you go to Simtropolis for SimCity stuff; Apolyton or CivFanatics for Civilization stuff...this is one of the VERY few companies that actually has a moderately decent site dedicated to a game.  If nothing else, you have to admit that.

Not to sound like a fan boy or something, but I hear a LOT of bitching lately and not much else.

Your right Silver, I apologize. Guess we got spoiled for a while and now GC2 is coming to a close. Oh well, guess us "Hardcore" types will ride it out, till we find something else shiny(the GC2DL CE box was shiny btw).

On a happier note I'm playing a TA game for fun. I do have a question for you TA guys though. Does the Drath just clean house on colonizing in your games? Or could it be because I forgot to erase their config, when playing as them and now they have the abilities I picked for them? They have almost 70 colonies compared to everyone elses(including me) 20-something. I still edge them in most other areas so I think they aren't able to really develop, just grab everything.

Which categories appear on which sites are decided by Brad personally.

Oh I didn't mean that as far as broken, I realize that is by design. I meant as far as the little things that keep getting broken and not fixed like the recent posts list that doesn't update all day until you hit "view more recent". The meta Medals(you knew I was going to mention that ) and having to use work arounds to view meta profiles or to do a simple search. It's small things, but after several updates the list keeps growing and just seems to mount up.

Sorry, I wasn't going to get into it again, as I'm pretty well just going to shut my mouth and play the game

Far as that stuff goes, it takes some time. Since the web dev people are the .NET people, they're pretty much all working on impulse (still). Only Andrew is working on forums and such at present.

Thanks for the info Kryo. I had a feeling the web developers and Impulse peeps were either one in the same or closely related, since Impulse is really just a browser/downloader in a way. I do have to say that since the new download mechanism was installed I haven't had issue one with it, so they are doing something right over there .

thanks kryo, some people (myself and i'm guessing several of the people in here) prefer honest news even if it's bad over vague smoke and mirrors. thanks for being real with us.

Since your around Lyro..got a few questions for ya.

FF support, will it be returning...i'd hate to have to use IE under any circumstances?

DA mentioned the Forums, so when Impulse is ironed out those problems (medals, search feature...edit borking) will be addressed?

The flow of topics from one site to another, i know this is seen as a good thing by Brad and ok, it's his baby so we have to live with it, but isn't there a point when one sites threads are flooding anothers and rendering that site nearly un-usable (from a strict GC2 point of view) for its intended purpose, that you step back and go "wait..maybe we need to throttle this back a bit"?

I know..well assume, Brad's focus is no longer on GC2 or it's forum. But there are quite a few of us still invested in GC2 and more importantly the MV and its forums so we dont want to be left out in the cold....Let Brad know that there is still a fanbase here and he shouldn't write us off yet.....

I know these topics have been bashed before but there are quite a few of us, and not just in the ToE that feel like this, just figured id chat about it here instead of creating a fuss in a dedicated thread, i'm not looking to end up in a flame fest over these topics.

Hey look...i'm worried about creating a fuss..i must have matured...
