You can do that with the Windows Paint program. Open it and use the stretch/skew option and change the dimensions fron inches to pixels. You might need to play around with it before you get it exactly how you want it.

MottiKhan, I have a few questions. How did you convert that picture earlier? Why don't my stats show after I've already played a few games? And how did you get the empire stats on your signature? (Just to let you know, I'm kinda new to the metaverse...)

With the game stats it can take a while after a game for it show. As for the empire stats, there are actually pasted in every time one of us posts. You need to copy your preferred banner from your character profile on the AltMeta and along with the hosted link of the Tyranny banner just paste them in at the end of the text.

I'll show you an example of yours and give you the link to my Tyranny banner,





I used to keep a notepad file handy with various text in it just for this purpose. But if you use Firefox there is a handy extension Kryo put me onto called clippings which is a far better tool you use than notepad because it is right there in your browser.

to use it just copy the text into notepad/clippings and wrap it these [-img][-/img] and it will work. Just take out the dash's they are not needed. It's hard to explain but reasonably easy.

If you need to host other pictures you wan't to display host them somewhere like
Imageshack and just copy the direct link to image text and use "insert image" to display.

Don't worry about being new, we all were, and we are all still learning.

Do you have to constantly recopy your stats, or does it do it auto? Also, I'm having trouble updating my serial number, could you help? This should be the last help I need. (You guys have been a great help!)

No your stats will update automatically, as long as you use that link you will be fine.

Unfortunately i am not going to be very much help in the serial department. I wouldn't even want to try advising on that cause i would not want to do anything that would wreck your account.

Try emailing support support@stardock.com they have been very helpful in the past. Apost in the forums outlining your trouble would also get kryo's attention, he may be able to help given all the details but he may just refer you to that email anyway.

Hope you get it sorted out, sorry i couldn't be of any use to you.

On a different note, is everyone aware of the new "Metaverse League"? It is in it's final stages of planning and be up and running within a week or so hopefully. It is a monthly teams based event with points for winners and a league ladder. There will be 12 different game styles for us to work through with 4 players each per team. Think your local NFL/F.A.Cup/NRL/AFL style league's and your on the right track.

Does it take a while for the metaverse to transfer my battle stats to Almeta? On a side not we should make a special ship style for our empire that'd be cool. Ha. I'm not much of a modder though...

Sir, your orders have been (almost) followed! another galaxy secured for his evilrulness.

I crushed all the pre-space-faring races.
The Arceans doubted the power of evilness - and got served.
The Korx, assumably a brother in evilness, dared to declare WAR on me for the minor reason that I parked some glory troops around their planets. The fools. Well, they are no more.

The rest decided to accept the way of evilnessölayed out for them - and were put to slavery - for now. (yaya, you want all their souls to be freed, I know...But I just didnt give a damn, and I'm not sory!)
Once I grow tired to use whole planets as imperial hunting grounds (it's quite fun blowing up a whole continent because some stupid prey doesn't let me find it...) I maybe will exterminate them as well, but I try to find something more entertaining meanwhile.

Wow!! i think this is the longest we have ever gone without a post. I hope everything is evil in all your worlds.

As of my current game, the damn Korath have most of planets and my best wife was on one of them too. Damn Drengin rejects.

Oh well, time to sit back with a Strongbow and contemplate how i will steal myself a new wife.....

Interesting thought. i'm no modder myself either but all we would need do is and this is a big if coming here, If a ship can be rendered from a design built in the game, we could have oursleves a little design competition to see who come up with the best ship design. If...If it then could be rendered as a complete hull, then we would have a ship we all contributed to in some way.....

Anyone know anything about this?

well, I quickly finished the game I had first submitted as an Influence victory by conquering evrybody.
First I had planned upon prolonging the game for another year in order to max out pop/inc/military, but seeing that moving all those ships around at turn-end (to gather at a point for military-starbase-boost) took several minutes per turn I couldn't get myself to do it.

Started my first game at suicidal-level now, and maybe it's because I really got a crappy start (my usual Thalan-strategy involved grabbing tons of planets early on, in order to soon have a decent income and the ability to mass-produce ships at many worlds) and only found 3 planets nearby, but at the end of year1 I for the first time haven't already got the certainity that I will win the game.

I guess it all depends upon wether the Drengin and maybe also the Korath use their current lead in technology and colonized planets to act offensively - something I missed completly in my games so far.

My aim for the 2nd year is to conquer 3-4 more minor civs. I guess if I can hold off the Korath and Drengin til I got those planets nicely wrapped up and secured I should be fine. Although I really am somewhat scared by teh Drengin and their 20-Missile-Attack-cruisers coupled with an Research output that is about 4 times as high as mine.

I don't really want to imagine what they will pack into medium, not to speak about large or Huge Hulls. That's going to give me a headache I suppose

But that only shows how strong evil is!
