(its also the largest land animal in Australia )

I thought one of Neilo's Rosie Clones held that title.

A Cassowary is a flightless bird too, but I wouldn't call it dumb or or it may attack you with its 5 inch (120cm) long middle 'dagger'-like center claw and do some serious damage. (its also the largest land animal in Australia )

Sorry but the Emu is larger. The Cassowary isn't quiet as large. But it hurts the most. That I know for certian.

Errr..i have never heard of a Cassowary...the Emu indeed is Australia's largest bird.
on May 08, 2008
well I made the mistake of using Wikipedia, which is correct about what 1% of the time? According to it:
The Southern Cassowary is the largest land creature in Australia and the second heaviest extant bird in the world after the ostrich. It is third tallest after the ostrich and emu.

but then...under Emu:
The Emu (pronunciation: IPA: /ˈiːmjuː/[1][2]), Dromaius novaehollandiae, is the largest bird native to Australia and the only extant member of the genus Dromaius. It is also the second-largest extant bird in the world by height, after its ratite relative, the ostrich.

so...I will admit to my mistake of saying the Cassowary is the largest land animal in Australia, however it can be found there in the upper NE region.

Wikipedia's accuracy is rated around 75-85% depending on what source/study you look at. This compares to about 90-95% for more traditional widely accepted sources of information. So it's less accurate, but not horrible.

Oh wait, did I get that info from Wikipedia?

The cassowary grows to about five feet, which makes it a lot smaller than the Emu.
The female is larger than the male and like the Emu, the male icubates the eggs and looks after the young.
I love that idea.

Like a lot of Australian animals it is in danger of extinction.

Yea, and strangely enough there are still places around the Newcastle area where one can buy Emu meat. Forgetting that it's endangered, Ive always found it weird that we can eat the two animals of our coat of arms, the Kangaroo being the other one if some of you didn't know.

It's only found in queensland Neilo, In Coastal Rainforests.

So does the emu roll 2d10 or 3d6 when using it Beak Attack? I think if you tell it that its the second largest land animal on the continent it adds "+2 vertical envy" damage.

you know, irish people consider that word racist.
on May 09, 2008

"ginger" can be considered a derogatory term at best.  Since red hair is not necessarily a signifier of "race", it can't be a racist slur.  Red heads occur across many ethnic groups.  We're a small subset of several groups that, in terms of race, are typically labled as "White" (at least that's what all my legal forms list when I have to check a box)

It's about as racist as  "blonde" joke.

Yes, I'm a "ginger"
