I guess that's why I don't buy consoles anymore. Used to, you brought one home hooked it up and it just worked. For years no doubt. You didn't see all these issues with the Genesis or the Saturn. I even ran the Saturn for 16+ hours a day for months with no issues.  As they add more complication to them(online BS, HDs DVD/Blu-Ray and such), the reliability just seems to go down the tubes.

Well if your under a warrenty mate then pursue that by all means.

One red light.....isn't that faulty AV connections or something?????

I have left the PS2 on for days at a time before...never missed a beat. Still works like a treat now and its what......8yrs old? From what i have seen/heard no console has ever had the problems the 360 has had.

I'm on my second one, i bought the extended warranty this time round too i tell ya!!

heck i have one thats maybe ten or 9 years my dad got them when they first got out and now some time this week hes going to get the 80gig PS3 yes!!!!!

80gig PS3? Didnt know they were doing one. I have the 60gig one. Havent used even 1/3rd of that 60GB yet so i don't think i need o bther wth the 8GB version.

I'd like to be able to put a 500GB in my PS3 and have a ps# version of HD Advance for on it and just be able to have games on the HDD just like the PS2. I'm sure it's already happened somewhere, but i want it cheap!

The best system is by far the Sega Dreamcast. NO PROBLEMS. The new 360 is 120 gig or bit or whatever. I dont think one system is better than the other, That would be for fan boys. I do know this, NO HALO ON PLAYSTATION.

I dont know much about the dreamcast but i do have a PS2, PS3 Xbox 360 amd a Wii. Each console has its own perks and i think each caters to different people.

I'm off for a few days guys, taking a road trip. Wont be back till Monday (my time). Take care and i will see you all in a few days!!

My mumbler is coming along nicely.  My first mumbler attempt with DA.  I've noticed that the game goes much slower as far as tech and ship building when compared to DL, but the nuances of DA make it a much more interesting game.

I have a gigantic map and own 714 colonies in year 4.  My ship count is up over 7000 and all planets save one are fully built.  I never broke into the million + bcs per turn that Mumblefratz and others seem to be able to do until this game.  I'm making 1.2 million per turn now.

Even so, I doubt that my score will approach Mag's or Liv's.  My year 3 test was below 500k.  Still, it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.
